By law it is required that all staff with patron contact and that are involved in the service or supply of alcohol on licensed premises, such as bar staff, managers, glass collectors and room service staff obtain Responsible Service of Alcohol Training and have a fully recognised RSA Certificate.

The RSA and RSG courses teach participants to demonstrate their ability to interpret, understand and comply with the legal requirements and responsibilities associated with the sale and service of alcohol. It is also important for participants to be able to define what is a standard drink and to understand and recognise the effects of alcohol on patrons.

As part of the RSA Certificate course, participants will learn and develop skills to allow them to detect minors on licensed premises and to aid in the prevention of under age drinking.

An RSA Certificate is mandatory if you wish to work in any licensed premises where alcohol is served or sold.
